Eye Rejuvenation

eyes-1

Early signs of aging are typically first seen around the eyes. While this may not make you look older, it often makes people look tired. In fact, many young patients notice this in their 20’s and 30’s. If you’re searching for a solution like “eye rejuvenation” that can restore youthfulness and a rested look in a natural-looking way, these non-invasive eye rejuvenation procedures make your eyes look brighter. Ask which method is right for you. Contact our Patient Coordinator Joy at 310.998.0040 in Grossman Dermatology.

Treatment Options for Eye Rejuvenation

Upper Eyelids: The most common methods to reduce heavy, drooping brows and upper lids are Thermage, botox, lasers, or surgery. Recently in an interview with the Daily Mail, actress Gwyneth Paltrow admitted that she has tried Thermage at our office, and was thrilled the “couple of years” it took off of her face. Sometimes a combination of treatments will provide the optimum outcome.

Lower Eyelids: People commonly complain of dark circles under the eyes and looking tired. This can be due to several reasons, including under-eye bags and under-eye hollows created by a natural loss of fat in these areas. Filling the bags and hollows can rejuvenate the under-eye area and restore the eyes to their prior appearance.

Another common complaint of the under-eye area is loose skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. Different modalities of laser combined with botox can tighten and smooth the skin and reduce creepiness. CO2 laser, although the most aggressive, is the most responsive, resulting in a tight lifted appearance.

Crows Feet: Dr. Grossman often uses Botox on crow’s-feet and brows to reduce wrinkles and raise the lids. Thanks to topical numbing creams, these methods are virtually painless.

Eyelash Loss: Latisse is one of the easiest ways to rejuvenate your eyes. It is an FDA-approved prescription product that is brushed on the lash line at home for longer and fuller eyelashes.. Patients typically see results in as little as two months.

Home Care

It’s important to maintain proper eye care with and without eye rejuvenation procedures. Update your at-home skincare regimen for younger-looking eyes. Dr. Grossman recommends these eye creams:

KARYNG Eye Repair Complex: Optimum eye care with retinol for fine lines & wrinkles, peptides to stimulate drainage & increase firmness, green tea to protect against free radicals, arnica & Vitamin K to reduce discoloration.

Lumiere Eye Cream: Intensive line smoothing, eye cream with PSP®, and age minimizing actives help energize, revitalize and rejuvenate the delicate eye area. Firms and hydrates reduce the appearance of dark circles and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

" I've always been bothered by the extra skin over my eyes. Thermage has made me way more comfortable by helping to tighten and lift! I love it so much i do it every other year!" M.F.
