What Fillers are Used?

Restylane Lyft

Restylane® Lyft is the only hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has been FDA-approved especially for hand rejuvenation. Restylane Lyft includes lidocaine in its formula to provide even further numbing alongside a topical anesthetic for less discomfort during injections. Results from Restylane Lyft for the hands lasts about six months.

Renuva

Renuva® is an injectable filler made from fat derived from donors. This means that it contains growth factors, which help to give the backs of the hands a youthful, plumper appearance. In addition, Renuva improves circulation and triggers the production of brand-new fat cells for further improvement. Results may last for several years.

Radiesse

Radiesse® is the only calcium hydroxyapatite dermal filler that has been FDA-approved for hand rejuvenation. Its calcium microspheres provide lift and volume, as well as creating new collagen for plump, youthful skin. Radiesse also achieves tissue tightening and improvement for fine lines and wrinkles. Results last 18-24 months.

Fat Transfer

Fat from your very own body is an excellent way to add volume to the backs of the hands, as it looks and feels very natural. It also poses no risk of allergic reaction, as it comes from you. Liposuction will be performed in conjunction with the injections in order to remove the fat from another area of your body (typically the abdomen).

What to Expect During Treatment

Dr. Grossman has developed a unique technique using a cannula to carefully spread the filler throughout the hand. This technique avoids having to perform multiple injections and/or large bolus of filler, which is often difficult to spread evenly. Dr. Grossman may also combine injections with different types of laser treatments for even better rejuvenation.
