How Does ResurFX Work?

ResurFX is a non-ablative fractional laser, it works by heating the deep layers of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissues. By heating the deeper layers, it kick-starts collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin are the structural backbone that gives skin a firm, healthy, and radiant glow.

ResurFX Procedure Details

Recovery time is short and relatively comfortable; you will be able to return to your normal activities within 24-48 hours of treatment. Redness, swelling, and minor irritation, similar to a mild sunburn, may develop but these effects typically subside in just a few days. During your consultation, we will discuss your specific case and how many days you may need to heal.

How many ResurFX treatments will I need?

Most patients will need 3-5 treatments to see good results. Maintenance with good skincare and sun protection is important!

Recovery and Results

After your ResurFX treatment, your skin will feel hot and dry. It will also be swollen and red. These side effects last for about 24-48 hours. In approximately three days, the treated area will take on a bronze/gritty look. This is completely normal, and part of the rejuvenating process. Depending on the level of treatment you have done, recovery may take one week. During your consultation, we will discuss your specific case and how many days you may need to heal.

To keep you comfortable during recovery, we recommend keeping moisturizer on the skin; ensuring the skin is clean, and refraining from sun exposure and heat.

Some patients see early results after just one ResurFX treatment; however, more obvious results will be apparent after 2-3 treatments. Once your recommended series of treatments is complete, your results will last up to two years. A great way to enhance results is to maintain a good skincare regimen, with proven products, strong sunscreen, and refraining from too much sun exposure.
